Pamporovo - Bulgaria
Pamporovo is by far the most picturesque ski resort in Bulgaria. All the developments and hotels are set tastefully amongst the forests so you are never very far from the lifts and ski slopes.
There are ski runs for every level from beginner to advanced as well as extensive cross country tracks. For those, requiring tuition, there is a very reputable and established ski school.
The resort is also getting famous as a summer destination for both tourists and locals. Activities such as mountain trkking, hunting and fishing are popular in summer months and the resort is close to some beautiful lakes and forests.
In addition, a new road to Greece is under construction which passes on the doorstep of Pamporovo. This will connect Bulgaria to the Aegan sea coast and increase the attraction of the resort as a summer tourist destination.

Massive investment has been planned over the next few years and the resort is already undergoing an exciting period of growth with five new ski pistes for this season alone. In addition, five new snow cannons and 28 hydrants have also been added.
A new 500 million euro project has just been given the green light to expand the current skiing area to the neighbouring peak ("The Perelik Project"). The centre of the current resort will be connected by a gondola and this will effectively double the size of the current skiing area.
Future development has now been restricted in the central resort area so there has never been a better time to buy. There are still a few apartments left in this area and these will become prime real estate sports in the very near future.
